This course is for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of Islam, strengthen their relationship with Allah and develop their character through the guidance of Imam al-Ghazālī’s Ihyā ʿUlūm al-Dīn. It is suitable for students at different stages of their learning who wish to connect Islamic knowledge with worship, spiritual growth and everyday life.
The class will be taught in English. As the book has not yet been fully translated, we will read from the original Arabic text and translate and explain it during each lesson. This makes the course especially beneficial for Arabic-language students who wish to develop their reading and comprehension skills. However, no prior knowledge of Arabic is required, and the course is fully accessible to those who do not understand Arabic.
The classes are delivered live via Zoom using high quality audio and visuals. The classes are interactive allowing students to ask questions via both audio and the chat box. Moreover, the class will have a dedicated Telegram channel allowing students to engage with the teacher throughout the duration of the course. The class will be delivered in English.
This is an open-ended class, as our aim is to study the text carefully and benefit from it without rushing. We envisage that completing the course will take several years. Tawfīq Online is known for consistency and commitment in teaching classical texts. We have already successfully completed several works in spiritual studies, including Mukhtaṣar Minhāj al-Qāṣidīn, Manāzil al-Sāʾirīn, Minhāj al-ʿĀrifīn, The Forty Principles of the Religion and The Infamies of the Soul.

Please note, each recording will remain on the student portal for 2 weeks only. We do not provide lifetime access to our classes as we expect students to view the classes on a regular basis and complete the course within the term time.
