  • Who is this course for?

    The course is accessible to learners of all levels, making it suitable for both beginners and those with prior knowledge.

  • Will the text be taught in English?

    Yes, both the Arabic and English text will be read, and the commentary will be delivered in English.

  • What resources will be provided?

    A PDF containing the Arabic text and English translations of the ḥadīth will be provided weekly for students.

  • How long will this course run for?

    This is an open-ended course, though we anticipate it will take a couple to a few years to complete.

  • I cannot attend live, can I watch the recordings?

    While live attendance is encouraged to promote engagement and interaction, we understand that not everyone can attend in real-time. To accommodate this, lesson recordings will be available on the student dashboard for two weeks. After this period, they will be removed.

Alomgir Ali

Alomgir Ali is a graduate of Islamic Law (BA) from the University of al Azhar al Sharif (Cairo, Egypt) and also holds a BA in Arabic and English Language. He possesses a number of Ijāzahs (licenses) including for the Qur'ān and has authored and translated a number of books including "Meadows of the Divine: 40 Ḥadīth on the Virtues and Rulings of the Qur'ān" published by Fig Tree Publications. He has been teaching Arabic and Islamic disciplines for nearly 20 years in various educational institutions and has worked as an Imām in London and has delivered sermons and lectures in the UK and Europe. He set up Tawfiq Online Learning, an online learning platform in 2019, where he currently teaches .
