Format of the seminar:

  • Due to the extensive size of the text, in this seminar we will focus only on the main points the author makes and present key statements from this work.

  • Students will be given a detailed list of topics that will be covered with references to the text (Arabic only).

  • Slides will be used and will be emailed to students beforehand.

  • Note, there is no English translation of the text.

  • Wisdom and legal reasoning (‘illah) in Islamic law and its place

  • Wisdoms behind the different acts of worship:

Q. Will food be provided?

 

A. Light refreshments will be provided. A lunch break is also scheduled and attendees must arrange their own lunch.
 

Q. Will the seminar be delivered in English?

 

A. Yes, and we will translate key parts of the text during the seminar.​


Q. Will a copy of the text be provided to each student?


A. No, please look above for links to download/purchase the book and bring a notebook and pen.

 

Q. What if I can't attend after purchasing a ticket?

A. Unfortunately no refunds are offered for bought tickets. However, you may sell/gift the ticket to someone else if you can no longer attend the seminar.

Q. Will the seminar be streamed live online?

A. No

 

Q. I cannot attend the the seminar. Will it be recorded?

 

A. The seminar will most likely be recorded. However, it is not guaranteed that the recording will be offered as an online on-demand course.

 
Q. Is the event open to men and women?

A. Yes. Please note, we will not be using a partition for this seminar. This may change for future seminars. 

Q. Are Children allowed at the Seminar?

 

A. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children under the age of 10 at the seminar
